A Log Cabin Homestead & Alaskan Wilderness Fishing Lodge
The Lisianski Inlet Lodge is located on a flat piece of ground inside Lisianski Inlet, 2 miles west of Pelican. It is a log cabin homestead built in 1939 and has a comfortable rustic feel with accommodations for 8-9 guests.
The lodge features four bedrooms; the downstairs room, referred to as the "bunk room", is the largest bedroom and can sleep up to three guests with one queen and two twin beds, it has a private bath.
The front westward upstairs bedroom has a private bath and one queen and one twin bed.
The other two bedrooms share a downstairs bath. Each room has a queen and twin bed.
The wilderness surrounding the lodge is the Tongass National Forest, the most northern rainforest in the world.
There are hiking trails from the lodge, a rope swing out back, a fire pit out front and kayaks for paddling the calm waters of Lisianski Inlet. The lodge is surrounded by berry patches. There are blueberries, salmonberries, huckleberries, nagoonberries, strawberries, grey currents and raspberries. Also, on the beach out front grows a green called "goose tongue" which is a local favorite and something we serve for dinner. It is possible to fish from the beach for dolly varden char, salmon, halibut and rockfish. The lodge is powered 24/7 by a generator and has on demand hot water sourced from a spring.
